Feline Refuge is in South Carolina and has been successful in reducing the stray population by 20,000 cats and kittens with low cost spay/neuter programs with the help of probono veterinarian surgery. Currently the Refuge places 250 vaccinated and sterile animals in loving homes every year. The goal of the Feline Refuge is to actively demonstrate pet owner responsibility and to circumvent the cycle of animal abuse and domestic violence through juvenile and adult self-esteem programs. It is also our goal to educate and empower caring members of the community and other animal advocacy organizations with practical overpopulation solutions and observe the law.
