Is
the Cup Half-Empty or Half-Full?

Everyone
realizes that the good, old days of lots of freebies
at many web-sites are over. However, even though there
are less good freebies, and they are harder to find,
there are still plenty available.
Here
are just a few of my personal favorite freebies, many
of which we have mentioned before and I still use often:
Free
Expert Advice - www.askme.com
I have received excellent answers from lawyers, doctors
and computer experts to solve problems that would have
cost me thousands of dollars, plus untold time and inconvenience.
Everything from fixing stubborn computer crashes to
business and corporation problems have been answered
for me from many different sources.
Free
Business Cards – www.vistaprint.com
Free
Internet Connection – www.juno.com
Stop
Spam Free - www.spamcop.net
(If you’re like me, you’re tired of having to deal
with unauthorized junk mail (mostly from sources you’d
rather not hear form). This service provides an easy,
free method of dealing with aggravation.
Free,
legal, inside information on publicly traded companies
- www.companysleuth.com
(I have used CompanySleuth for several years to keep
track of companies I own stock in or am interested in
and found it to be very useful in keeping me informed
of important new developments.)
Find
Employees, Contractors or Get Great Home Work for Free
- www.elance.com
BigFreebies has used elance many times over the last
2 years, and has found many excellent contractors through
them. You can post your project for free, and service
providers bid to do the work. If you are looking for
work, you can also use eLance for FREE to post your
resume.
Free
Business and Legal Forms - www.freebusinessforms.com;
www.FormsGuru.com;
and http://lawsmart.lawinfo.com
Free
ways to find the dealer invoice (cost) for the car
you want: www.carsdirect.com;
www.autoadvisor.com;
www.kbb.com; www.carbuyingtips.com;
www.autoweb.com;
www.edmunds.com
You can then contact your local dealers and tell
them what you want to pay for the car. Tell them you
want to purchase at invoice – and that you can purchase
almost any car over the Internet for a couple hundred
dollars over invoice (see the above sites). If they
don’t match your price, contact the next dealer. (By
the way, the dealer is still making a profit on the
car, even at his cost. Most dealers receive incentives
and rebates from the manufacturers. Sometimes, if necessary,
you may have to pay $200+- over invoice to get the deal
done.
Free
Answering service - www.callwave.com
Free
Wake-up and Reminder Service - www.iping.com
Free
Financial Information, Stock and Futures Quotes,
news and analysis - http://finance.yahoo.com;
www.futuresource.com.
There are many similar Free services; these are two
of the ones that I use.
The
cup (of freebies) is still at least “half-full” at BigFreebies
and we’ll continue to find and report to you the best
freebies for you from all sources!
Finally,
we are taking the month of December to make many new
upgrades and changes to BigFreebies. You may experience
some down time and fewer updates during December, while
we make these improvements. As always, our readers’
opinions are very important to us. Please let us know
of any suggestions that you may have.
Sincerely,
David
